PlayDate Review: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I ordered my PlayDate in 2024 and its still going incredibly strong in my inventory!

  1. Premise, Promise, Motivation

The ads for Playdate show it just lying on a table, calm and resting, independent and curated, pick up and play. No online chaos, at least not yet… that feature is coming for those who want it!

For now, mostly an offline experience. A dose of something different.

  1. Loved the first season

Whitewater Wipeout. Casual Birder. Echoic Memory. All of them engaged my attention!

  1. Started buying games-> Loved doing this.

Collecting… expanding my library… You can buy games from the playdate itself, which makes it easy to buy games…

And I love it.

Here is a video of my games library…

  1. Discovered Apps and Utilities - Mp3 player, Sound memo recorder, small book crank operated reader.

Kicooya MP3 Player was a lifesaver when my phone was dead even if the device storage could only hold a few albums. It was joyful. Used Pocket Planner on wedding day and other memorable days to record memos.

  1. Experimenting with Pulp, making my own game for friends and spouse

Side loading games super easy!

Pulp Game Editor

  1. Continued buying Games - 42+ Games?

Diora is an amazing game, wow! It comes with its own level editor. And I love the soundtrack. A real highlight!

Conclusion:

Worth it.
